Medical set, £80m Caicedo bid, Rice twist, Mount worry - Chelsea news and transfers LIVE

Wow, what a start to the summer! Chelsea have made great progress in the transfer window so far with several players expected to make way for some big names at Stamford Bridge...

Declan Rice may be out of reach for the Blues, but Mauricio Pochettino remains eager to further bolster his options in midfield. Moises Caicedo continues to be heavily linked with a move to west London, while Aurelien Tchouameni has reportedly reemerged onto the club's shortlist.

Chelsea are said to be in the market for a new goalkeeper and striker too. The race to sign Diogo Costa is beginning to build a head of steam, though Manchester United are also said to be keen.

As for Pochettino's search for a new striker, Nicolas Jackson is expected to have his medical in the next couple of days. The west Londoners' ambitious pursuit of Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen seems to have died down – but maybe no news is good news?

So, with all that being said, stay with us on Lejit Reporters dedicated Chelsea live blog as bring you all the latest transfer gossip from Stamford Bridge...

Declan Rice transfer odds

The summer transfer saga involving Declan Rice took another dramatic twist on Thursday with Manchester City making their intentions known to bid.

An offer arriving from Pep Guardiola's side will likely see them compete directly with Arsenal for his signature after the Gunners had a £90million package offer rejected.

With a West Ham exit appearing highly likely, Betfair has provided the latest transfer odds for the 24-year-old.

Betfair: Declan Rice to sign for before September 4, 2023

  • Arsenal 3/10
  • Man City 3/1
  • Man Utd 5/1
  • Not to sign or agree a contract with any other club 10/1
  • Chelsea 20/1
