The Ondo government in chaos as the conflict between Akeredolu and his Deputy worsens

The dispute between the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu and his deputy, Lucky Ayedatiwa, resulted yesterday in the sacking of all media personnel from the office of the deputy governor.

This threw some members of the leadership of the state into panic, as reports emerged that the governor may dismiss his ministers.

Recall that Akeredolu returned to the country last week after a three-month medical leave in Germany.

The governor returned on Wednesday and is still at home in Ibadan, where he is carrying out his official duties.

Reports say the governor may reshuffle the state leadership to remove members believed to be disloyal during his absence.

A source revealed that Akeredolu was saddened that some of his aides had caused a major controversy in the state during his absence by promoting some news that was damaging to the government and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The source said the Chief of Staff, Chief Olugbenga Ale, and about six commissioners could be sacked for working against Akeredolu.
