Levi Colwill was a key part of the England team beat Spain in the U21 Euros final, ending a 39-year drought without a trophy.

But while Chelsea fans were delighted for the young defender, they took issue with one particular moment during the celebrations.

Levi Colwill invited Madueke, who came off the bench for England, to join him on his Instagram live, asking: "What you got to say brother?"

Madueke responded: "Hey, listen, we're both coming back. He is as well. I will make sure he comes back."

Levi Colwill shrugged off the comments, rolling his eyes before saying, "this guy man, this guy".

Blues fans weren't best pleased with his reaction, amid speculation that Liverpool are keen to sign him this summer.

One fan wrote: "Wouldn’t say Levi’s body language is that great tbh. All he had to do was agree! Kind of weird. Probably don’t need to read too much into it but bizarre from Levi Colwill."

Another added: "Noni is actually a goat but Levi Colwill’s reaction."

A third replied: "He ain't feeling it."

Another said: "He clearly don’t want to stay look at the way he pushes noni out of the way."

However, new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is expecting both players to join them for their tour in America.

“We spoke yesterday with Levi [Colwill] and Noni [Madueke],” Pochettino said on Thursday (as quoted by Liverpool Echo). “One I know, Noni, from Tottenham, he was in the U18s and of course, Levi, but with them I wish the best for tomorrow.

“For me it’s difficult because it’s Spain [vs] England but I wish them all the best. I think we are waiting for them to be with the team, I think they will fly to America and join us.”

Levi Colwill enjoyed an excellent campaign with Brighton last term where he took his game to another level, helping the Seagulls finish sixth in the Premier League table.
