It is Arsenal and Manchester United that are doing the most high-profile business this summer as the Gunners edge closer to sealing a deal for Declan Rice while United have secured Mason Mount.

Declan Rice and Mason Mount are the names on everyone's lips at the moment as they both wrap up sensational deals to two of the Premier League's biggest clubs.

Rice cut short his holiday in a bid to get his switch to Arsenal over the line and the Gunners have since finally agreed a payment structure with West Ham. Mikel Arteta's men will fork out a club-record £105million fee for the midfielder, who now needs to finalise personal terms and complete a medical, which is expected later this week.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have now confirmed the signing of Mount on Wednesday after he posted an emotional farewell message to Chelsea fans the night before. The 24-year-old has been entrusted with the Red Devils' iconic number seven shirt.

Liverpool don't exactly appear to be slowing down either after signing Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig in a £60m deal last Sunday. They are reportedly still keen on signing another midfielder, with Romeo Lavia, Manu Kone, Khephren Thuram and Gabri Veiga all among the possibilities.

On the other end of the spectrum, Chelsea have already sold plenty of players, but are still looking to shift the likes of Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. New boss Mauricio Pochettino also wants to bring in some new faces.

Stay tuned throughout Thursday for all the latest transfer news and gossip...

United want to hold Henderson talks

United want to hold talks with Dean Henderson to gauge whether or not he wants to leave Old Trafford this summer.

According to the MEN, United are yet to make a concrete decision on the 25-year-old goalkeeper, who has previously made it known that he wants to depart. Henderson spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest and impressed before suffering a season-ending injury in January.

It is thought Henderson is hoping to secure a move back to The City Ground on a permanent transfer. But United's current goalkeeper situation could dampen things, with David de Gea out of contract and the Red Devils' pursuit of Inter Milan stopper Andre Onana proving difficult.

Even if Henderson expresses a desire to leave, Ten Hag is "unlikely" to sanction his sale until the situation at Old Trafford is resolved.

Inter Miami want more ex-Barca stars

Clearly not content with signing both Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets, Inter Miami want another former Barcelona face in Andres Iniesta.

The 39-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving Japanese outfit Vissel Kobe and could be tempted by a reunion with his former Camp Nou colleagues.

Chelsea's Mount stance

Those at the top of the Chelsea hierarchy believe that Mason Mount’s form last season did not justify him being paid higher wages.

The Athletic claim that those calling the shots did not think the Blues academy graduate deserved to be paid higher than some of the other high-profile figures within the squad.

This is of course what led to a breakdown in negotiations between the two parties and in turn his move to Manchester.
