Transfer News: Mason Mount undergoing Man Utd medical today - and contract has an option included - Lejit Reporters
Mason Mount is poised to undergo a medical at Manchester United today ahead of his £60million move.
Mount, 24, is set to be Erik ten Hag’s first signing of the season as the attacking midfielder prepares to leave Chelsea after climbing through the youth ranks at Stamford Bridge.
After weeks of negotiating, United and Chelsea reached an agreement on a £55million fee with £5million worth of add ons for the England international.
Mount previously agreed personal terms at Old Trafford before a fee was settled with Chelsea, seeing him set to become United’s fourth-highest paid player, earning a basic £250,000-per-week, climbing to £300,000-per-week including bonuses.
And now according to Fabrizio Romano, Mount will undergo medical tests on Monday before penning his five-year deal at Old Trafford, with his contract also including the option to extend for an extra year taking his deal until 2029.
